Sarah Garcia joined Crombie Industrial Furnace & Oven, under her Father's mentorship and guidance in 2015 after 10 years in the corporate world. She brought with her an eye for Print and Digital Marketing and Management and quickly expanded Crombie Industrial's reach. Through the years, her role grew as Mr. Crombie taught her about the industry and included her on all business decisions. With Mr. Crombie's passing in 2021, it was a natural and seamless transition as Garcia became CEO. Following in her Father's footsteps Garcia is committed to the industry, our employees and our customers!

After working as a welder and machinist in the late 70’s, Robert Crombie began a new adventure in 1981 in the field of heat treating. This journey started in the area of industrial furnace maintenance as a certified welder and progressed into the fields electrical maintenance, pipe fitting and refractory. In 1985 Crombie was promoted to the position of General Manager of a subsidiary company specializing in austempering. During this time, he engineered several pieces of equipment for the austempering of materials ranging from spring steel stampings for lawn mowers to armor for military vehicles. Other duties during this time included writing of quality control manuals, implementation of a computerized statistical process control system, supervision of employees, scheduling of production, scheduling of maintenance and the development of water addition for the processing of alloy bolts and other problematic materials .
Through the advice of a respected friend and integral part of the furnace and oven community, Crombie Industrial was born in 2001. With a focus on providing a quality service for the installation and repair of industrial furnaces and ovens, engineering refractory systems for the foundry industry, carbon control systems for heat treating, and control panels for a wide array of metal processing companies. Mr. Crombie set up a training and quality program with the customers needs at the heart of the system. These programs were based on the obstacles and challenges he faced as a millwright and manager for the heat-treating industry.
Mr. Crombie passed away unexpectedly in 2021, leaving behind a legacy and family within the company.
